Delivery zones and charges
One rate per zone, shown before any payment. There is no alternative grid at checkout.
| Destination | Delivery charge | Taxes and duties |
|---|---|---|
| France | Free, no minimum order | French VAT included in the price |
| European Union, outside France | Flat €30 incl. VAT | VAT included under the applicable rules |
| Rest of the world | Flat €50 incl. VAT | Import duties and taxes payable by the buyer |
Import duties outside the European Union
Outside the European Union, shipments travel DAP: import duties and taxes are neither collected nor advanced by LUMIIK. They are charged to the buyer by the carrier or by their country's customs authority, on delivery.
LUMIIK cannot know the amount in advance — it depends on the destination country and its rules. Under article L. 221-6 of the French Consumer Code, LUMIIK charges nothing beyond what was announced before the order.
On withdrawal these sums are not refundable by LUMIIK, which never received them. They can, however, be reclaimed from the local customs authority.
Dispatch and handover
Shipments go by insured express carrier, signature required on delivery, insured for the value of the order.
The outer packaging is neutral: nothing on it names the contents or their value.
The tracking number is emailed as soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier.
Timings
For Sailing Stones, sold as a pre-order, the estimated dispatch window is "autumn 2026". LUMIIK undertakes to dispatch by 30 November 2026 at the latest, and to deliver, for the purposes of article L. 216-1 of the French Consumer Code, by 15 December 2026 at the latest.
Once the parcel is with the carrier, express transit usually takes two to five working days depending on destination. That is indicative, and outside the European Union it can be extended by customs formalities, which are outside LUMIIK's control.
What happens if we are late, and the cancellation rights that go with it, are set out in article 7 of the terms of sale.
Address and being there for delivery
Getting the delivery address right, and being available to sign, is the buyer's part.
A parcel returned to LUMIIK because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because it went unclaimed after the carrier's delivery attempts and holding period, may incur a re-dispatch charge payable by the buyer. The buyer may instead ask for a refund, in which case the outbound delivery costs actually incurred remain payable.
When the risk passes
Under articles L. 216-4 and L. 216-5 of the French Consumer Code, the risk of loss or damage passes to the consumer when they take physical possession of the goods, or when a third party they have named, other than the carrier, does so.
Until then the risk in transit is LUMIIK's. A parcel lost or destroyed in transit is re-sent or refunded.
Damaged or incomplete parcel
If the parcel is visibly damaged on delivery it helps — without being a condition of any of your rights — to note reservations with the carrier.
Either way, contact LUMIIK within seventy-two hours with photographs of the outer packaging, the inside and the product. LUMIIK handles the claim with the carrier and its insurer; that file is our problem, not yours.
Destinations we do not ship to
LUMIIK does not ship to destinations under embargo, under European Union restrictive measures, or where the carrier has suspended service.
At the date of publication that covers Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Cuba, along with any active conflict zone the carrier has suspended. The list moves with the regulations and with carrier service.
These destinations are blocked at checkout. An order placed anyway is cancelled and refunded in full.
Withdrawal — fourteen days, no reason needed
A consumer has fourteen days to withdraw, without giving a reason. The period runs from receipt of the goods; the right itself opens when the order is placed. The full regime is in article 9 of the terms of sale.
Three ways to use it, all equivalent.
The online withdrawal functionality, free and available at all times from the site footer. It is the quickest, and the one that triggers the written acknowledgment automatically.

Any other unambiguous statement, by email to legal@black-corner.com or by post to 19 avenue d’Italie, 75013 Paris, France.
A limited edition and an edition engraving exclude nothing: the goods are not personalised within the meaning of article L. 221-28 1° of the French Consumer Code.
Model withdrawal form
This is the form set out in the annex to article R. 221-1 of the French Consumer Code, translated for convenience. Using it is optional: it is reproduced here because the law requires us to make it available, not because your right depends on it.

What condition the watch should come back in
You can handle the watch as you would in a shop — try it on, wind it, set it, check that it works. That is exactly what the Consumer Code allows, and it takes nothing away from your right to a full refund.
You are only liable for a loss in value caused by handling that goes beyond that. In practice: sustained wear, scratches, links removed from the bracelet, the case opened, a personal engraving, or missing packaging and accessories.
Please send the watch back in its complete original packaging where you can, with the case, the documentation and the accessories, and the protective films still in place if they are.
Every return is examined. If a loss in value is found, you are told before anything is deducted, with what was found; a deduction is never made without talking to you first, and you can ask for the watch to be sent back to you.
Return costs
Article L. 221-23 of the French Consumer Code puts the direct cost of return on the consumer only if the consumer was told before the order. The figures below are that information.
Where the return is because of a lack of conformity, a hidden defect or a mistake by LUMIIK, LUMIIK bears the return cost in full, wherever you are. That rule overrides the table.
| Zone the order shipped to | Return cost |
|---|---|
| France and European Union | Free, prepaid label provided once the request is confirmed |
| Outside the European Union | A flat €50 logistics fee deducted from the refund where LUMIIK arranges the return. You remain free to arrange a tracked, insured return yourself, at your own cost. |
Refunds
The refund covers everything paid, including the outbound delivery charge, under article L. 221-24 of the French Consumer Code.
In France the outbound leg is free, so the refund is the price of the product. Elsewhere in the European Union the €30 outbound charge is refunded on top of the price, with nothing deducted for the return since the label is provided. Outside the European Union the €50 outbound charge is refunded, then the €50 return fee is deducted if LUMIIK arranges the return.
The refund is made no later than fourteen days after we receive the withdrawal declaration. It may be held until the goods are recovered or until you provide proof that they have been sent, whichever happens first.
It is made by the same means of payment as the order, unless you expressly agree to another, and at no cost to you.
A late refund automatically attracts the increases set out in article L. 242-4 of the French Consumer Code.
Cancelling a pre-order before dispatch
Separate from withdrawal, and wider: as long as the parcel has not been handed to the carrier, a pre-order can be cancelled at any time, for any reason or none, with a full refund within fourteen days at most.
This right is granted by LUMIIK. It sits on top of the statutory right of withdrawal and does not replace it.
Exchanges
On an edition of 100 pieces, an exchange cannot be guaranteed. The safe route is to withdraw and then order again, subject to what is left.
A lack of conformity is a matter for the legal guarantee, not a commercial exchange: see article 10 of the terms of sale.
